by Crab-O-Licious.com
This Crab Meat Won Ton Recipe is an elegant alternative to our Crab Pot Stickers recipe.
It makes 60 won tons crab appetizers and can be made, and then, frozen to serve later as well. But why wait? I'm pretty sure you'll want to serve them right away they are so good!
Ingredients:
- 1/2 Pound-Crab Meat
- 1/2 Teaspoon-Salt
- 1 Tablespoon-Soy Sauce
- 1 Tablespoon-Sherry
- 5-Water Chestnuts-Finely Chopped
- 1-Scallion-Finely Chopped
- 1 Egg-Beaten
- 2-Bok Choy Leaves (or Chinese Greens)-Chopped Finely
- 60-Won ton's
- 2-4 Cups-Oil for Deep Frying
Directions:Combine crab meat, salt, soy sauce, water chestnuts, scallion, beaten egg and bok choy leaves and mix well. This is the filling for the crab meat won ton recipe.
Spoon 1 teaspoon of filling in the center of each wrapping.
Fold each corner to the center of each wrapping, gently pressing the edges together. Fold again in half lengthwise, fold back and bring the ends together.
Dab a bit of water on one corner, put two corners on over the other and press together. It "should" look like a nurses cap.
Heat the oil in a wok to 400 degrees.
Deep fry 10-12 won ton's at a time for about 3 minutes.
Drain and serve with Sweet and Sour Sauce or Teriyaki Sauce or the Honey Ginger Dipping Sauce on our pot stickers page! It's all good!
This recipe makes around 60 crab meat won tons.
